Thanks to its geographical position, Okrug Gornji provides countless opportunities for half day and full day excursions to their closer and farther surroundings. During the summer, excursions by boat are organized to the nearby island of Solta, Drvenik, and the island of Brac and Hvar. Okrug Gornji is an ideal starting point for visiting the towns on the Adriatic coast, national parks, sanctuaries and islands.
On the Croatian Adriatic coast is situated a few towns that attract with their wealth of historical, religious and architectural monuments. All of these cities, it is possible to see in the half-or full-day trips that are organized in Okrug Gornji. We will mention only the most important cities and buildings: Diocletian Palace in Split, the portal of master Radovan in Trogir, Dubrovnik and the walls of the fort, Šibenik Cathedral of St. James and St.. Donat in Zadar.

Enchanting blend of stone and the sea can be experienced only on Kornati. In the hinterland of Sibenik, or 100 km from Okrug Gornji, is NP Krka with its famous waterfalls and mills, and 200 km from Okrug are situated and Plitvice Lakes National Park, the pearl of the world's natural beauty.

Religion in Croatia occupies an important place, and so can be found all over the Croatian shrines, and most of those dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Among the most famous shrines are Medjugorje in neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina, 200 km from Okrug and the Shrine of Our Lady of Sinj in Sinj. Every year, the Feast of the Assumption, 15 August, people are visiting these two places to show their faith and love for the Mother Mary. It should be mentioned and the Shrine of Our Lady of Prizidnice, only 2 km from Slatine, located on the cliff above the sea
The Croatian coast abounds with a large number of islands, islets and reefs. The archipelago around the Okrug Gornjiis ideal for those who enjoy sailing in isolated bays or for those who want to spend a day at the fish picknicku. Lovers of underwater fishing and diving will be able to enjoy the underwater depths and quiet.
Organized excursions by boat are daily, so you can visit the nearby islands of Solta and Drvenik, or those a little further, Brac, Hvar and Korcula.
